Helpful Hints:

1. When measuring, make sure the dog is standing square with their head up. May be helpful to have a helper who can keep the dog's attention with a toy or food while you are measuring.
   
   
2. For very short haired dogs, in cold climates, a double-lined coat would be best.
   
   
3. For large dogs that play very rough, or spend a lot of time in the woods, Cordura would be more durable.
   
   
4. For long haired dogs, surcingles or clasps would not get caught in the long hair like velcro could.
   
   
5. On males, use straps instead of belly bands as there is not enough room for bellybands without them getting wet when he goes to the bathroom.
